Mavs Focus on Trade Market for Power Forward
Daniel Gafford on the Move
The Dallas Mavericks are actively pursuing a power forward in the trade market. Daniel Gafford of the Washington Wizards is reportedly a target, with the 2024 pick being sent to Washington in the deal. Gafford has averaged 10.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks this season, providing a strong inside presence for the Mavs.
Other Trade Rumors
In addition to Gafford, the Mavs have been linked to other trade targets, including Kyle Kuzma and Andrew Wiggins. Kuzma, a forward for the Wizards, was a free agency target for the Mavs. Wiggins, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, has also been mentioned in trade rumors involving the Mavs.
Need for a Backup Center
With Dereck Lively II missing games due to injury, the Mavs are also looking to add a backup center. They have been in trade discussions for several players who could fill that role.
